Many Thanks for this. It is much appreciated as ever :)

Did you feel that the demos of the 2011 CD taken from an acetate were better quality to work with than John Stuart's transfers from his Reel to Reel tape, or do you not have this older source?

What I've had is 'JSS Master' version. But to me it's something like acetate => MiniDisc transfer and sounds worse than 2011 official source.

Is this mentioned Reel to Reel tape transfer indeed doesn't feature the acetate in its lineage and sounds cleaner and more natural?

I wonder, if TNCD was remixed by Roy Thomas Baker for the album, is there a possibility that the original De Lane Lea multitracks still in the vaults?
We were told that all De Lane Lea masters are lost except Brian's acetate which was used for 2011 transfer, but probably it's all about Lou Austin stereo mix, not the multitracks...

Another small observation is that TNCD is the only track from this session which sounds polished and fully arranged oposed to all other tracks which sounds more like a work-in-progress. So it was considered as an alternative to not-satisfying newly recorded Trident version. But probably Trident version was never recorded at all because De Lane Lea version was perfect...

I think that's because it was the only available source. However, they deserve to be here on such a release. Nice additional tracks from what was to become their first album.

You've never seen nothing like it, no never in your life. Like going up to heaven and then coming back alive.

What's different about this track? I never noticed.

Artists must pass on, but sometimes a mix of passion, good fortune, diligence, expertise, and meticulous labor can capture and restore some of the beauty they left behind.

^ It features more prominent drums. Also guitars and drums are differently balanced between channels.
Actually I listened to this version for about 15 years from 1991 and 1994 remasters not knowing it's different to the original...

Thanks to Adam's QueenVault.com
BTW, more detailed information is there.

QUEEN - "QUEEN"

EXPANDED COLLECTION

2018 CMI Music

Special thanks to moonhead79 for helpfulness and support. Very special thanks to Thistleboy1980 for his kindness.

Yes, yes - keep it going. That's the right thing to do, isn't it? Not childish at all.

Look mate your work is awesome. It really is, and I've enjoyed everything you've put out. But I only asked for a little bit of help with something I couldn't find the last time, and you gave a shitty, sarcastic response - hence what you got back. There's no need to talk down to people. It just wastes the good you do. You tried to make me look stupid and lazy, which certainly wasn't the case. I didn't deserve that, and lashed out in retaliation.

I'll show who I am and apologise for what I said. I hope we can put it behind us. But please man, if someone misses a link and asks for help, don't put them down. No point in doing good one minute and being a git the next.

As usual, absolutely enthusiastic about your share on QueenI. I really appreciate having all this demos and alternate and instr. Thank you for this hard work and the share.

I saw you printed on cds. Which brand do you use?
.
I just want to keep my cds as long as possible without having to burn them every ten years or so. Maybe you or other members have advice about which cdr to use
