They were saying that's why Jacky doesn't like Villiers lol. Villiers has been trying to help promote Thor and Lee's book for a while and when she first did it in Jacky's group Jacky came in with some really negative comments about Thor and Lee saying they must be doing it for cash and that they were scamming the fans etc. Someone asked if they would be invited to the conventions, jacky said hell no and Villiers let her have it lmao. Villiers called her out on some the shady sh*t she's done over the years and told her she has no right to make assumptions about Thor and Lee and Villiers went right onto Jacky's hate list lol. I wish I still had the screen shots. LOL we talked about that exchange in other groups for weeks. Villiers really laid in on her LOL

I see it now thanks. Looks like he quoted Jacky in it too. I know Jacky and Jim were cool. Thanks!

Shaun, thank you for confirming my suspicions. I find the details you've provided both sad and infuriating. It's one thing to be concerned with good PR, but lying (and asking others to lie) about Mary taking care of Freddie in the end and discounting the sacrifices the three men made is just low and disgusting. Thanks for not succumbing to the pressures and telling the truth about what really happened.

Saint, shoot me straight meaning explain yourself what about villers.

I recall that Villers was promoting the upcoming book, and Gunn went ballistic.

I see Dustin provided additional info ...

Very sad QPL politics ... to control the narrative ... and make more money by painting a false story in the movie.

When I mentioned the film, I mean that Brian was happy for that story to be told . That film version that portrayed him as lonely and fixated on mary. There was none of Freddie's laughter that we have heard Peter talk about or Thor and lee. He can't criticize jim for writing a book and then years later tell a shit version of Freddie life in a film.
To me it seems like double standards.

Katy no mental health shouldn't be brought into this . I have suffered with it and I know how tough it is . I'm fine now btw.

Miss Katy I feel tension between us so I'm gonna smash it right now.First of all this thread is about opinions in my opinion Mary entertaining a thought of a relationship that was dead and like a fantasy is a illness. To this day that's what fuels her bitterness towards fans Jim in the past and many of his guy friends. It is not natural to cling to a hopeless relationship all of those years hoping for a return of that person you love that cant provide you with that same kind of conventional relationship. So in the future address me if you have something that is bothering you I will do the same hope we can still have positive conversation on this thread.

CHEVYMAN, I tend to agree with you, though I do think Katydyd5 has a fair point about the mental health issue being unnecessary here.

Dustin, thanks for clarifying what happened between Jacky and Villers. I had no idea Thor and Lee's book has been causing such drama. But one thing has become crystal clear: Villers is a total legend (as if there was any doubt about it before lol).

I don't believe anyone ever claimed he criticized Jim for writing the book. Multiple people here have said he didn't support the book but did like Jim very much. The reason he said he didn't read the book was because he didn't read anything about Freddie's personal life. But Brian is a massive hypocrite anyway so even if he had criticized him for it then cashed in with the film, that's absolutely no surprise.

Chevyman I agree with you on that about Ms.Austin....I hope that doesn't ruffle anyone's feathers but that's definitely the feeling I got as well...even before getting to know Jim. Just watching them interact...you knew something was going on.

Talking about Jacky and Jim , dustin, I read a book by one of the biographers who said Jacky said he was a nice guy but drunk a lot and a quote for jim Jenkins saying jim was talking about his sex life with Freddie in front of young children .
Is this rubbish ?

Oh please. Jim had loads of nieces and nephews of his own. He would have never been inappropriate before a child. If he did say something about his own private life I doubt he realized a child was nearby. Can't believe how many people out there want to demonize or dumb down the chap!

That's not aimed at you for asking the question but a general statement. I get why Mr.Joe got weary of talking to fans and press...

That would be EPICLY ironic if Jacky did say that about Jim's drinking as Jacky has gotten shitfaced so many times at queen conventions, some fans were afraid she had a drinking problem.

Keep in mind Jim Jenkins also told a story about him being disappointed in Jim Hutton for having a negative response when one of Jenkins' friends decided to walk up to Hutton and twist his nipple.

A fucking stranger walks up and grabs my nipple, they'd be lucky if they walked out of that room without a concussion.

Why the f*ck would anyone expect a positive response from that? He claimed that was Jim's "bad side" lol. So take Jenkins and Smith with a grain of salt.

Shaun I didn't think it would be true as it doesn't match with other reports of Jim 's character. It's a shame that this kind of thing is allowed as it can really darken a person's character.
After reading Jim's book I have nothing but respect for him.
I don't like Mary or Jim beach . I'm sure irreducible be shocked at how events have unfolded .
I also have respect for jjoe too , he seemed a really good guy
