Hey Y'all!!!!
I Absolutely Adore the fact that every time I watch TV.......a commercial with Some Queen Song Roaring in the background appears......and Just like the child game 'punch-buggy Don't punch back!!'....the first one to recognize it stops what they're doing...and shouts Freddie Mercury!!!!!!
(It's typically me...but sometimes my grandaughter Lola beats me to the punch!!!......(pun intended) <3

There's nothing like grandchildren singing Queen music- we've done our job keeping that Freddie spirit alive!!

Chevyman- great idea with all these positive comments!!

Did anyone see the article that Adam Lambert said he didn’t want to record new music with Queen. He is probably smart enough to know Queen fans would riot. I mean the Paul Rodgers CD was a complete failure. I don’t think Roger and Brian should ever record new music using the “Queen” name. It’s one thing for Adam or whoever to sing Freddie era Queen songs but recording new without him is just plain wrong they are half of Queen. I saw that and was furious but at least Adam has some sense.

There isn’t one person I have ever talked to that has said they didn’t like Freddie for a real reason. There’s the homophobia crap but as far as his personality I can’t think of anyone who ever said anything like horrible about him. They can’t argue that he wasn’t talented because you can be deaf and know that! But his fellow artists, anyone who knew him has never had much bad to say. They say he could be a brat but what rockstar couldn’t! And wasn’t!

Perk, yeah, for one I remember his brother-in-law, Roger Cooke saying in an interview in, I think 2000, that he'd never met or heard of anyone who actually KNEW Freddie personally who didn't like him!

That's GOT to be a testament to the kind of man he was!

So yesterday we had the Queen station playing on Pandora and Bo Rhap starts playing. Within seconds my 11 year old daughter says "This isn't Freddie Mercury!" We go and look and it was Constantine Maroulis singing. She listens for another minute and says, "nope I'm skipping this. No one can sing Bohemian Rhapsody but Freddie Mercury!"

I think she is coming along nicely.

Chevyman I can't remember the exact question but these are a few favourite replies from thor:

1. When you have run out of everything else, give them wardrobe ....this was in response to Freddie's tiny white shorts.

2. When Thor and Lee first met Jim ' mama has a husband , meet Jim '

3. When Thor told us he spotted Freddie for the first time and he was just his type. Although they didn't hit it off as lovers, they remained the best of friends and that warms my heart. With what I imagine so many hangers on in freddies life, it's nice to hear stories from a genuine friendship.

Doughnut, I can see Thor checking Freddie up in the club I bet he wasnt shy.He has a very outgoing personality. If I were a dude And he hit on me I would be under the table.Hes got game. Its hard to find a one night stand that turns friendship like it did. That is very rare.Im glad Freddie met him because he had so many other great guys that accepted Freddie and became his friend.Great story !
