That's your opinion.

It's worthless, other than to yourself. So keep it

If this proves to be a success, do you think he may walk away from Queen?

Any update on your dad, Icy? I have been thinking of you off and on all weekend. I hope there is news and that it is good!!

It was a tumor, thats why his brain surgery was so important and had to be removed as soon as possible. I don't know if it was fully removed just yet.
There were tests on his abdomen mass on Sunday. He's still in the hospital with no word or even a hint when he might be released.
It's a terrible, scary time.
Thanks again snifflese. It means a lot.

Really sorry to hear that you must be worried sick, really hope things improve soon.

Thanks. It's very bad.

Catching up on posts here. No I don't think he will walk away from touring with Brian and Roger anytime soon.

No,he's just one person among a lot of singers doing one song, he's not doing the entire thing.

The box score linked above makes interesting reading. A few hundred empty seats at the first few concerts but the final 3 we're all sell outs. Looks like it got fuller as time went on. From the videos on YouTube, it looks like there isn't a bad seat in the house. Even at the very back you're probably closer to the stage than I was at halfway back at the Toronto show. I may take a look at going if they do it again.

@gg01

Yeah...It wasn't looking good for those first few shows with hundreds and hundreds of empty seats. Hopefully those last three sellouts helped to make up for it and it ended up being a profitable venture.

The attendance for most of the residency, though...yeesh.

I don’t think there were hundreds and hundreds of empty seats for the first shows. It looked pretty full when Brian was circling the venue with his stereoscopic selfie stick.

Sweet Caroline...I'm just going by the official attendance numbers. Those first few shows had pretty weak attendance,

At last we have the Boxscore results for the 10-show Las Vegas residency!

Queen + Adam Lambert The Park Theater at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino Las Vegas Sept. 19-22, 2018 $2,396,170 14,472 / 14,472 3 / 3 $1,000, $79 MGM Resorts/Live Nation
Queen + Adam Lambert The Park Theater at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino Las Vegas Sept. 5-8, 2018 $2,151,922 13,838 / 14,621 3 / 0 $1,000, $79 MGM Resorts/Live Nation
Queen + Adam Lambert The Park Theater at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino Las Vegas Sept. 14-15, 2018 $1,523,605 9,532 / 9,754 2 / 0 $1,000, $79 MGM Resorts/Live Nation
Queen + Adam Lambert The Park Theater at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino Las Vegas Sept. 1-2, 2018 $1,382,473 9,024 / 9,753 2 / 0 $1,000, $79 MGM Resorts/Live Nation

Total Gross: $7,454,170
Total Attendance: 46,866 / 48,600 (96%)
Average Ticket Price: $159.05

Some really good numbers.

Don't know where you saw the numbers, but these are the ones from several sites. There were a few less in the beginning, but not many. Once people find out about how awesome the concert is, they come out in droves. A 96% sell out for the 10 days is nothing short of amazing, esp. after all the negative comments here about them bombing! I am not sure how much better they could have done!

Get a life, Icy. I am sick of Queen being thrown at me. This is the QAL thread and we can talk about it. We don't need Queen's history thrown in our face constantly. I have quite a few bands I really enjoy and I don't know whether someone wore this or that or what year a song came out. People can enjoy music without knowing all those useless facts. There are a lot more important things in life. I can enjoy QAL and have always enjoyed Queen's music without the history lesson. I enjoyed Queen's music way before you did . They were on my radar in the early 1970's. I bought all their records and later CD's. I just enjoy their music. Is there something wrong with that? I loved the original Queen and I love QAL. To me that would be a postive thing. Maybe you should vacate the thread since it isn't just about Freddie and that is the only person in Queen who holds any interest for you.
Let him be your obsession. There must be Freddie only boards where you can relive his finest moments and I know there are a lot of them. Fine with me, but quit telling everyone else off.

Oh snifflese to revresh your memory, I just read back...you were sick of Queen bring thrown at you. Queen boards aren't at all the place for you then. Seriously, go to Adamtopia. Stay the fuck over there.
