Great, I voted for Don't Try Suicide and it counted for Don't Lose Your Head. Rigged :-)

Cool Cat shouldn't be here. it's certainly better than Life is Real or Put Out The Fire

Yeah. That's why it got my vote, because it's a complete and DIFFERENT non filler song and one of the best on the album.

Otherwise my vote was Rain Must Fall way before I even saw the list.

Expected Loser in the End there as well. Also Sweet Lady.

But hey. If we were voting of the worst there'd we'd be here all day! ;-)

I have good relationships with a few of those, but Cool Cat for me too. Smooth, slick and sexy.

"Don't Try Suicide"; has a great live ambience to it, ESPECIALLY Rogers drum roll introduction to the instrumental.

"Delilah" is absolutely the worst kind of shit that has EVER been committed to tape - even lower on the register than "The Birdie Song" or "Aga-Do".

I honestly can't understand how anyone can hear ANY redeeming qualities in Cool Cat. I hear NOTHING that is REMOTELY listenable in that piece of crap.

I voted Calling All Girls. Not a good song, but not nearly as bad as the other crimes against music listed, except perhaps Fun It.

We're all different and have different experiences which lead us to like different things. It's nice.

True, but I reiterate: I honestly don't get it. There is plenty of music I don't like where I can understand why others might like it, but I can't hear anything in Cool Cat that I can imagine anyone appreciating.

None of these songs is as bad as Chinese Torture, which is almost unlistenable.

In Cool Cat Fred's falsetto is perfectly executed, but still hard to listen to. He should have sung it in his lowest register, imitating Barry White. Now that would've been something to look forward to.

I thought Chinese Torture would've worked nicely segued into Party at the start of The Miracle. Good old fashioned Queen album start. But yeah, could've been better given the elements that make it.

For me, Cool Cat takes me back to a 1982 I didn't really experience. It's largely a nostalgic romp through the hits of those days and memories of our old house. It's odd that a tune I didn't hear at the time evokes images of that long lost past. Lifting a dreamy veil off happy carefree days playing with Lego and Star Wars figures, walking the dog as my older sister bopped to the New Romantics. Musically, again IMO, It's mainly the singing and slow groove. I DID hate it for years in the same way My Baby Does Me was (and still is) a total 'skipper'.

Add to that a story my friend told me of hearing it in early 80s - erm... 'black' clubs which lots of very very tough gangster types slow dancing to it. Of course, if they found it it was a gay man singing the DJ would've been lynched.

Stealin' and Lost Opportunity get my vote as worst of the worst.

Regarding Cool Cat and nostalgia, it's likely the same effect as Crazy Little Thing Called Love. It evokes nostalgia for the 1950s even among those who were born too late to experience that decade.
