Thor, you really should see Come From Away. You'll laugh and you'll cry, but what I loved so much was the restoration of my faith in humanity. We need this show right now.

Quick update:
Bleeding from my right knee is down to just a very small amount. Three more weeks left of self-administered, around the clock IV antibiotics.
Physical therapy finally starts next week. Pain has decreased to about half of what it was the last two weeks. I see my surgeon tomorrow
and the Infectious Disease MD on Thursday to determine if I can stop the antibiotics and maybe change to just oral antibiotics.
Lee has been an absolute doll and is doing most of the work on our book that I can not handle until I can spend more time "sitting" at the
computer. Now, I can only handle about 2 half-hour periods per day.
I am hoping to make a work visit with Lee by the end of the month!
Thank you all for keeping up the thread...I have been following!
Love ya,
Thor

Greetings Thor,

Wow…this has been quite the ordeal! Glad things are finally heading in the right direction though. Your nursing skills must really come in handy, as I imagine many people would not necessarily be comfortable self-administering IV antibiotics. Best to you as you continue on your "healing journey"! Looking forward to when you and Lee can join us again, and as always, appreciate the updates from both of you.

Wow Thor, that sounds horrible! After talking to "my" nurse, I'm gonna say it doesn't sound like anything you did wrong and I hope the doctors/hospital are doing all they can to rectify this for you! What a shame!! It's nice that Lee is available to help you out so much! After your recovery and you've got the book completed, hopefully you guys will have more time to tell us about the process. It sounds fascinating and much more complicated than I ever would have assumed!

JB - you're hired! Any thoughts on relocating to England or wherever FreddieDarling lives? I love the lingo and laugh every time an "arse", "cheeky bugger" or whatever is thrown out there.

FD - you are the creative one - we need tshirts advertising our company. Maybe with a silhouette of Freddie and a blurb of "we'll get to you after we're done discussing Freddie". That does imply never does it not?

Have an awesome day everyone!

Wow Thor, this has been quite the journey. Since you have previous experience with a knee replacement you know your troubles are atypical. I'm so sorry you are dealing with so many issues with what you had hoped would be just a bump in the road. It was fortunate that you realized that the swelling and pain were not the norm and thus you acted quickly. Hopefully you can be switched to oral antibiotics and that you will be able to gain some mobility soon. I think you've got the perfect team partner in Lee and that comes from the blessing of a lifelong friendship.

As for keeping up the thread, it's been really enjoyable. Many of the newer people who post now came on after you had stepped away. I know you will enjoy getting to know them upon your return, and I KNOW they are looking forward to getting to know you.

We try to stay on topic and if you look, we bring Freddie into most conversations in one way or another. Sometimes we stray a bit, but Freddie and Queen will always be the main focus.

Take care of yourself!

I'd give you my address for a stop-over but it would probably be too incomprehensible! You might end up on the dark side of the moon following my directions ! :-D

Sniffs U occasionally known as Amidds ! P.S. I love your business protocol of prioritising our Freddie obsession before getting down to work! Yeah, let the buggers wait! Our service is worth the wait! We may not be accurate, but we "Garintee" to make you laugh!

P.S. Does anyone else's predictive text change Sniffs to Sniffs U ? Or is my Kindle hinky?

LOL@ my mate Sniffs U! (Amidds) No I never heard that saying before!

I rd almost worth developing stress incontinence to use that line! Love it!! <3

Here's a little Saturday snippet. You've likely all seen the first one, but the second shorter one was new to me, and we actually get to see inside Freddie's old bedroom in Gladstone Avenue!!

Here's the longer version with Brian and Kash unveiling it.

Have a lovely Saturday, Peeps!

Hi Thor, sorry to hear about your knee but am glad it seems to be healing, albeit rather slowly. It's best to stay off of it and let nature take its course. Main thing is that you have excellent doctors. Take care until we see you again. :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend! xo

Freddie darling, I just love the look kash on her face you can tell she is truly proud and happy for her brothers accomplishments. She said in a interview when he came home from boarding school he used to help her with her homework. So I guess even though they had so much time apart they were very close. Thanks for Sharing.

Hi Chevyman, hope you're doing well. Just finished watching the Montreaux Rock Festival again and laughing to myself how Freddie doesn't care that he supposed to be lip syncing. Looks like he's having a great time performing anyway and giving the audience an up close and personal show by shaking their hands and literally being an arm's length away from them. He always gives it his best and looks so strong and healthy in 1986, which is kind of sad knowing that in just a few years later, he would pass. :( Have you seen it? Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55S1P8Yzolk The quality of the video is excellent! We may have had a chat here on QZ on this a couple months ago.

Another video that I enjoyed earlier this week was Live at the Bowl at Milton Keynes 1982 during their Hot Space tour. In the 80s, the quality became much better as the technology advanced. I wish Queen's 70s concerts were as good quality as theirs in the 80s. Freddie, as always, was on fire as were Brian, John and Roger. Don't you love the way Freddie interacts with the audience? One of his famous quotes, "Now most of you know that we got some new sounds out in the last week and for what's it's worth, we're gonna do a few songs in the funk, black category, whatever you call it. That doesn't mean we've lost that rock and roll feel. I mean, it's only a bloody record. People get so excited about these things." So Freddie. Here's the link to this gem: http://youtu.be/AT0C3U21PYc

What is everyone up to this weekend? Well, that's it for now. Have a nice day! :)
