OK so I know that Roger started out as a guitarist but turned out to be better at drums, but he still played guitar in The Cross. But did Roger ever play guitar in a Queen song or session? Just found that kinda interesting.

"He started playing acoustic guitar at nine, and then when he was 12 he decided to take up drums and electric guitar. “Basically I was a frustrated guitarist,” he says. “But I seemed to be better at drums. My father just bought me a drum, and I took to it and started adding to it and found I could get along well. 1 found myself getting better quite quickly, so that sort of spurred me on. It was at that point that I became a drummer rather than a guitarist – which I’d always wanted to be before. I think everybody wants to be a guitarist, but I’m’ a better drummer than a guitarist anyway.”"

It's quite easy to tell his playing on his own songs. I like that he did that. Good on him.

Do you know what 'sleeves' are and do you read the attached 'notes'?

The text is also on CD and tape 'inserts' and the information is also 'online'

Starting to figure out you are a wind up....

I was going to say that the tapes never had sleevenotes (ahhh good days) but then I remembered the Hollywood tapes. Anyone have a full set? I had Jazz.

Confirmed:

- Drowse
- Fight from the Inside
- Sheer Heart Attack
- Calling All Girls
- A Kind of Magic

All of those still had Brian playing lead, of course.

Suspected:

- I'm in Love with My Car.
- Fun It.
- More of That Jazz.
- Coming Soon.
- A Human Body.
- Rock It.
- Action This Day.

John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Rog didn't compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Wales is not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 vox.

I'd say they all definitely have his guitar sound and style. Whether or not that's what he instructed Brian to do. Or John.

It's fair to say he always recorded his stuff largely alone and the band then finished off where necessary.

No I wasn't there, so I don't know.

It wouldn't surprise me if it turned out Hijack My Heart originated during the Can't Get You Out Of My Head/Celebration sessions
