The point of seeing many bands live is that compared to others I was struck that QAL sounded a lot more synthetic at times, too perfect and close in sound to the record compared to the band as a four piece live. Play The Game being the most striking example.
That is my observation. That there is some sort of technological assistance. Perhaps it is just the vocoder with more people contributing to the harmonies. I don’t know what it is but it seems over produced in live sound and more sedate than Queen live.
In general Freddie was singing over louder, faster music while putting in a physically demanding theatrical performance. It is totally different to the show QAL put on. I enjoyed it but AL is not a good singer to listen to. That said I have seen many bands where the singer isn’t that great but the gig can still be good.
When I refer to backing tracks I’m not talking about the blatantly obvious ones.

I would say the vocoder bumps up the harmonies and they've now got six voices as well which helps plus Adam having a higher voice blends well with Roger and Tyler who also has a high voice, Rush are his inspiration so the harmonies do sound more produced or tighter I suppose but having heard them live I don't believe there's any backing track playing or other "help" going on. As to Adam I love how sings but obviously what's good to listen to is subjective. They do practice the harmonies a lot and even did that little vid for the benefit of the NYT who claimed their harmonies were suspiciously perfect.

Adam is a perfectionist and does care more about having the singing right than running around the stage and just letting loose (although he's more inclined to do that in his own shows) but tbh I don't blame him with Queen, he's well aware of the standard he's being held to by the die hard fans. Freddie could do whatever he wanted, it was his/their music and if he felt like running all over the stage at the expense of hitting high notes or sounding perfect that was fine, people were going to have a good time and sing along and weren't there to pass judgement on his every note but Adam probably feels he'll be scrutinized as he's essentially standing in for Freddie and judged against him, not a position I'd want, and if he comes up short in the vocal delivery department he'll be crucified for it. It's not his music and not his gig like a solo show so he's far more aware of things resting on giving a good performance. That's my take on it and judging by the response they get for the most part people seem to be happy with the show being more a hybrid between concert and theater show. End of the day if people are having a great time I don't see it matters that they don't do things like in the old days, you can never get the original back so it's a case of accepting it for what it is now.

Freddie sang louder as he had the pipes and power in his voice. Lameturd may hit high notes but they sound thin as paper

You're another one who can't see the difference between power and voice type/timbre. Adam has a lighter tenor voice but that's not lack of power and having heard him live his voice is definitely not thin.

There are absolutely no backing tapes other than the stuff in BR and they do not need auto tune. Brian was very irate when some stupid reviewer said the same thing a few months ago. Adam never needs auto tuning and neither do the others. Brian, Roger and Adam harmonize beautifully. You certainly don't know much about QAL! Freddie with his unfortunate vocal issues needed autotune much more than Adam ever would. Haven't done your homework!!

You stupid fucking whore use every opportunity to slag off Freddie. "Unfortunate vocal problems"? Show us a link you fucking asscunt. You don't know shit about Queen. Stick your Lamebird up your ass you fucking moron. Lametart sounds like a whining cunt. THat's why you like him I guess. Same breed

You're such an eloquent little chap aren't you. . . .

Or maybe you're the asscunt whore who knows nothing about the band you claim to be a fan of.

Freddies's vocal issues were well documented. Go and listen to some bootlegs, better still go and listen to the bootlegs of officially released DVD's.nYou might begin to understand auto tune and pich correcting and why it has been used on Freddies voice

When you've done that maybe you could fuck off

I have seen and heard QAL and do not like him and I am qualified to judge him.

Perhaps you are not qualified to judge QAL as you have only seen QAL.

By your silly standards, I must be more qualified because because I saw both Brian May and QPR in concert.

They did some correction sure but so does every band. EVen if QAL would release a live album (What I do not hope) they would doctor things up. I am still waiting for the "well documented VOcal problems" from the asscunt

Vocal Harmony : Yes Freddie had vocal problems on tour but lets face it he did damn more hard grafting on that stage than Adam does.
Freddie gave his all for years and years, remember the Wembley concert on the magic tour, where Freddie was drenched in sweat after ten minutes of running around that stage giving everything he had his heart and soul
and Adam stays as dry as brick after two hours on stage because he is a lazy performer.

No idea where you get the idea Adam doesn't sweat but you're wrong and also the lights back then were crazy hot compared to the led's used today. Adam doesn't run around like Freddie did but that doesn't mean he's not putting everything into the performance it's just a different way of doing things.

Freddie did way more than "run around". He had everyone in the palm of his hands be it front row or "in the gods" Section. He was a performer. Lamebird is living up to his name. EVeryone goes "Who the fuck is this jerk"?

You are just so wrong. Since you have never been to a QAL concert, you couldn't possibly know what everyone is saying around you. Trust me, you are just sooooooo wrong. People don't say that at the concerts or on-line. Read the TicketMaster reviews of people who actually had butts in their seats. As usual you are clueless living in some Freddie Mercury dream world. In the real world the things you write are just not happening.

According to the cracked up world of snifflese Lamebird is the biggest star in the world and has written every Queen song. I surely do not want those drugs that they sell you

You really are wrong on that one, yeah there are some in the audience who start off thinking who's this guy but they soon change their mind and he's great at getting the audience on side, he doesn't need to act like Freddie but he has his own brand of charisma, there's lots of people go online after the shows to say they've changed their mind about him after seeing the show.

See, you just proved my point. I do not maintain that Adam is the biggest star nor do I maintain he wrote Queen songs. You just distort everything to fit your limited myopic view of the world. Sure glad I am not living in it!

Why do you feel compelled to call people filthy names? You really need to see someone since this has to be a deep rooted psychological condition. It just isn't normal to have such animus towards almost everyone, particularly women. You need to tread carefully, dude.

I happen to like Freddie very much and very much honor his legacy and am astounded by his ability as a composer. Not sure what you are babbling on about. Just because I don't treat him as some kind of a mini god like you, does not mean that I am a hater. It is funny how you criticize people who like Adam for the very things that you yourself are guilty of. People like what they like and are entitled to do so, without having to take crap from you. You never have a well thought out post, just dirty words vilifying Adam and whoever you are sending your latest diatribe to. Your posts are a waste of space on here.
