The day after opening of the Another World tour (at Rockstock near Chicago), I got an autograph from Brian at a guitar shop after standing in line for an hour or so in blazing heat. He commented that he liked my A Kind of Magic t-shirt. I commented awkwardly without explanation that I didn't think that the band could play China Belle live, and he said he didn't think they could either.

Jamie and Brian were quite the team playing China Belle. It was like two Red Specials creating a feeding frenzy.

Great story.

And I had no idea Brian did any US shows in 98. Do you have a ticket stub?

Artists must pass on, but sometimes a mix of passion, good fortune, diligence, expertise, and meticulous labor can capture and restore some of the beauty they left behind.

Met Brian twice, first time outside Wembley 1980. All band members left in their own limo's but Brian was the only one to stop the car, get out and spend a long time signing autographs. All credit to him. The second time was after a Black Sabbath show at Hammersmith in 81 ish. Went round backstage door where everyone was waiting for Sabbath to come out. Brian came out with Chrissie and everybody else just moved out of the way and let him go. We got to talk to him for several minutes where he was trying to tell us how good the Flash Gordon film was!! Very pleasant guy both times.

We waited for Brian & Roger outside after their gig in Perth in 2014, the night he did the ice bucket challenge, hoping to grab a signature and a quick photo. Fuckers drove straight passed us and waved! :(

I won a meet-and-greet (and lunch) with Brian in a contest around the release of the Another World album. Flew with a friend and an EMI-rep to the Hard Rock Café in London where I met Brian. There were I think about 15 winners, from multiple countries. He signed my Starfleet-album, commenting he "hadn't seen one of them in a long time".
A few months later the friend I took won a soundcheck-meet-and-greet before his concert in the Netherlands (Groningen or Utrecht) and he signed one of the photos taken at the Hard Rock Café. That was pretty cool, having him sign a photo of the two of us :)

Met Brian in 1988 when he and John played with The Cross. A couple friends And I spoke with him as he was taking his son Jimmy(?) home. He said hi and said he would talk to us when he came back. Sure enough, 15 or 20 minutes later he came and spoke with us and took some pictures. He was very kind.

Never "MET" met anybody, But I've been to two signings and the Walk of Fame ceremony (*where i first met Nuno - got his signature on a dollar - it was all i had on me that wasn't Queen related, i later accidentally spent that dollar)

First signing, i gave him a drawing a did of him that I'd finished in the car en route. Quipped "here's a little doodle etc. .thanks for the music" his assistant complemented the drawing "wow that's much more than a doodle etc" and although I'd slipped a FURIA sleeve into the book (signing for BANG! ) he did not sign it.

Second time for the QUEEN IN 3-D book.
I simply asked him about MACBETH: will he ever release it? He simply looked pensively upward and said "Well, I still HAVE it." And a shrug sort of head nod. (*it'll never be released haha)

That's about it. 2014 had tix near the cat walk. Lots of cheering n all but no six pence.

Would be nice to talk with one of em in a general environment that was not performance/signing but eh.... i wasn't that high in the music industry when i was doing my thing.

Even so. ...It's ironically frowned upon to banter with the artists when you ARE in the realm.

Go figure

I would love to talk to Brian, such a sweet man and so many topics we could discuss! From animals, to science, to Queen, to guitar playing in general....I would need weeks!

I was at that same Guitar Center in store Brian did around the time of RockStock, which was his only U.S. appearance. People were getting lots of stuff signed and taking pictures and his handler got mad and limited people before I got up to him, but I still got him to look up for a great photo ;)

I do not have a ticket stub, but Brian autographed my Rockstock concert program.

Here is a link from Queenconcerts.com that Includes the setlist as well as my my mini-review of the concert.

Good lord you idiotic single digit IQ Feyenoord hooligan. Learn some English for fucks sake. At least then reading your drivel will be over quicker. I'm ashamed to share a country with you. You even make the same mistake as foreigners referring to The Netherlands as Holland. You do know Holland is only two provinces? Dude you live in one of them. Almost every comment you make on here makes you sound more stupid than before. Be it in the Announce section or in a discussion thread like this. Only spouting bile or some other dumb shit.Go shout at your tv while your team fucks up another season.and some more of their typical "fans" like you get banned from attending. You seem to be nothing more than another asshole who is allergic to normal comments and intelligence as you have proven for a long time now. Here's to hoping you fuck with a condom till the day you expire. Cheers!

Met Brian, Roger and Rufus in Glasgow circa 2010/11 when WWRY was on at The Kings: Brian was nice, took time to talk with us, pose for pics and sign autographs. Roger, for some reason, was in a cunt of a mood and went straight to his car. I was the only one he said hello to on the way, I think simply because I wasn't pushing a CD or pen in his face for a signature like everyone else was. Rufus spent ages talking with me about Queen, other music, his dad and future plans. If memory serves me right, it was Rufus who told me to stay put at the theatre because Brian was still inside (the staff had told us to beat it and that Brian had already left). Rufus seems a pretty cool guy.

I'm kind of glad I'll never meet them, Brian in particular - I love the guy and most of the music he's done, but you can just tell when someone wouldn't have time for your bullshit, and I think this is one of those occasions.
Which is fine - I'm grateful for the tunes.

I don't think I will be able to meet them. But I am one of those who believe in the statement, ' better to not meet your favorites'.
